While on international duty for scotland, the left-back sustained a shoulder injury and underwent surgery in mid-october. Since being sidelined, he has played 17 games for the reds. Robertson was originally scheduled to return at the turn of the year. Pearce has now confirmed that he will play for the merseysiders in late january next year. Robertson has only made eight premier league appearances for liverpool this season, only scoring one goal.
