Fatai Osho has officially resigned from his position as head coach of Awka United, a team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Osho resigned from his position after the Promise Keepers’ dismal 2023–2024 NPFL season opener.
Throughout their 14 league games this season, the Uyo club has only managed three victories.
The young strategist used social media to express his gratitude to Paul Bassey and the club’s administration for their support during his tenure.
“Sir, Elder Paul Bassey, I am really grateful that I was able to attend Akwa United FC. You are a unique breed that merits every kind of achievement and happiness. Despite our best efforts, it was not meant to be.Unfathomable success will come after this brief setback. I shall always be grateful to you,” Osho posted on his X account.
A replacement is anticipated to be announced by Akwa United prior to their matchday 15 encounter with Sunshine Stars on Thursday.
