Liverpool star Mo Salah has been told not to leave the Anfield club in the summer by a former Reds striker – who only left because he was pushed out of the team
Mohamed salah has been urged to stay at liverpool after this season. The egyptian’s unrivaled goal-scoring form has shown no signs of stumbling down this season. Salah has 15 goals and seven assists in 24 games, including his 200th goal for the reds in a 2-1 victory over crystal palace.
It comes after the 31-year-old was heavily linked with a £150 million move to saudi pro league side al-ittihad in the summer. Salah was even given a £100 million basic salary, a private jet, and the opportunity to buy shares in the club later in the season, but liverpool stayed true to their talisman.
Salah is also in the middle east next summer, alongside former teammates fabinho, roberto firmino, georginio wijnaldum, and jordan henderson. Ian rush, a legendary reds striker who left anfield for leeds in 1996, believes that the two-time african footballer of the year is still strong enough to make it to the top level.
Ian Rush told the liverpool echo: “i’d love him to sign a new deal, it’d be great.” He has another year to live. He is a great professional, and the younger players will learn a lot from him. I’d love for him to extend his contract. We don’t know what will happen, but i’m sure every liverpool supporter would enjoy it as well. “i left because i wasn’t playing anymore.” – “i left because i wasn’t playing anymore.” I just wanted to play football. I didn’t want to sit on the bench, so you’ve got to look at it. I left here to go to leeds united because i wanted to be playing week in, week out.
