With the Green Bay Packers season in the rearview mirror, it’s time to look to the future. One player who has a very bright future for this franchise is rookie wide receiver Jaden Reed. Reed was the Packers’ best rookie in 2023, and while many other rookies contributed as well, he stood out.
Jayden Reed was a second-round pick out of Michigan State. He is a complete wide receiver for the Packers. Reed finished the season with 64 receptions for 793 yards and eight touchdowns. He was also targeted 94 times by quarterback Jordan Love this season and averaged 12.4 yards per reception.
Reed also had 11 carries for 119 rushing yards and two touchdowns, averaging 10.8 yards per carry. He may be used more in the running game over time, but if he stays healthy, there’s a chance he’ll reach 1,000 yards as a sophomore.
Reed has just one 100-yard game this season, which came in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears when he had four receptions for 112 yards. Reed enters the 2024 season as Green Bay’s No. 1 wide receiver.
He finished the season with the most receiving yards on the team, and many thought Christian Watson would take that title, but he was sidelined too much with a hamstring injury. If Watson does well, he could still be a top player next season.
Romeo Doubs will also be a big part of the receiving game. Dontayvion Weeks would be a good fourth receiver on the roster, he has a lot of potential and was only a rookie this season.
Jaden Reed may have the highest ceiling of the four wide receivers on this list. Packers fans agree that Reed is the team’s best rookie this season. He will have to prove his worth once again as a sophomore.
