“Accusations of “turning off Belichick” continue in the replies and quotes tweets. In the trailer, Kraft and his family are shown hugging in a Super Bowl-colored box in just four seconds. With all that in front of us, we’re curious to see what kind of appearance Belichick will make during the actual podcast.
Otherwise, it would be hard to ignore the criticism that Coach Noh was petty after he left. What’s even more surprising is that Belichick appears in the 80-second trailer. Denver’s famous intentional safety is on display, but Belichick is still nowhere to be seen. Belichick didn’t seem like a big deal that season either.
He cut out Patriots safety Milloy well before the season started. Milloy took over the Buffalo Bills, and after the Patriots upset their division rivals 31-0 in Orchard Park to open the season, ESPN’s Tom Jackson claimed the players “hate their coach.” Belichick had the opportunity to be very rude on the field after the Super Bowl.
It’s hard to believe that this podcast is on the air and that Belichick hasn’t been mentioned in the podcast’s lifetime. However, the decision not to feature him in the trailer was deliberate and certainly not overlooked.
