. Although the team dominated most of the game, some mistakes were made, giving Green Bay the win. First, Anders Karlsson missed a punt that allowed the 49ers to escape and score a touchdown in the process. Love had a chance to steal that win, bu
t a tough pass game kept the Packers out of the playoffs. But despite all the setbacks, there are plenty of bright spots in the Packers’ promising run this season. First, Jonathan Owens has improved his overall game in recent months. Owens appeared in the press after the game and shared his thoughts on being one of the Packers’ starting pitchers this season.
He also explains the prospect of having a proven starting safety in the NFL. “I think so. I got my chance this year and I haven’t looked back. That was all I had. It shows how consistent I am and how trustworthy I can be to coaches and special teams. I pride myself on being able to do both.
So whatever my role is, I’m going to continue to maximize it,” Owens said, via Packers.com. For now, Owens is looking to relax after performing well for the Packers this season. He also plans to support his wife, Simone Biles, as she prepares for the 2024 Olympics. Either way, Owens’ upcoming campaign deserves more attention once the new season begins later this year.
