Rivian is transforming its Meatpacking District flagship into Performance House, a week-long immersive experience celebrating peak athletic performance, mindset, and adventure. The space opens to the public on Monday, July 13, 2026, with a star-studded opening night featuring alpine skiing legend Mikaela Shiffrin, who co-created the activation.
Located at 60 10th Avenue, Performance House aims to transport visitors out of the city’s daily grind through a blend of high-performance inspiration, interactive exhibits, workouts, and conversations. The initiative aligns with one of the biggest weeks on the global sports calendar and highlights themes of speed, precision, and excellence — values embodied by Shiffrin, the most decorated alpine ski racer in history.
Opening Night Highlights
The opening event on Monday, July 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., offers attendees a rare opportunity to meet Shiffrin. The evening includes a live recording of her podcast, What’s the Point? with Mikaela Shiffrin, featuring a special conversation with Rivian Founder and CEO RJ Scaringe. A community reception will follow, showcasing local bites from neighborhood favorites Aunts et Uncles and Van Leeuwen ice cream.
Visitors can also view Shiffrin’s custom-wrapped Rivian R2, equipped with her personal skis, bags, and authentic race gear.
Space for the opening night is limited, with entry granted via a registration lottery. Confirmed guests will receive digital tickets by July 10.
A Week of Performance Programming
Performance House runs through July 19 and features a full schedule of events:
Morning Workouts with Life Time (July 13–17, 7:30–8:15 a.m.): Complimentary sessions ranging from yoga to strength and conditioning, followed by recovery.
Training the Performance Mindset (July 17, 5:00–8:00 p.m.): Ultra-endurance athlete Rich Roll and mindfulness teacher Manoj Dias discuss mastering craft and purpose-driven living.
Live Hurdle Podcast (July 15, 6:00–8:00 p.m.): Host Emily Abbate talks with athlete Becs Gentry about athletic evolution and mental resilience.
RAD R1S Experience: Visitors can explore Rivian’s Adventure Department R1S, which raced at the FAT International ice race, and play Rocket League in a themed tailgate setup.
The activation also spotlights partnerships, including Dometic’s high-performance drinkware.
