Mohamed Salah has handed Liverpool a welcome injury boost ahead of their blockbusting Premier League showdown with Manchester City by returning to full training.
Salah was among those to take part in an open session on Wednesday afternoon at the AXA Training Centre ahead of Thursday’s Europa League round of 16 first leg at Sparta Prague.
The Egyptian has been restricted to just one 46-minute substitute appearance for Liverpool in the last two months, initially due to Africa Cup of Nations duty and then a muscle injury picked up during the tournament.
Salah missed seven games with the problem before making his comeback from the bench when scoring one goal and assisting another in the 4-1 Premier League win at Brentford last month.
However, he subsequently aggravated the injury and was forced sit out the next four games, including the dramatic League Cup final triumph over Chelsea at Wembley.
Salah, though, was back on the pitch at Kirkby on Tuesday and was one again among those being put through their paces before the squad jetted out to Czechia later on Wednesday.
